Yes, you can have "friends" for the site like in Facebook and they can send invites to their friends and then it's viral...

Ohh! Thank you for the typo note! :)

Thank you for your comment. Yes, we're liking Stixy!

We will always tend to come down on the side of simplicity in terms of admin rights, so that has not been an issue. We did see a bit of login weirdness, when responding to an invitation to join a stixyboard, but I didn't investigate enough to provide more specifics. A new invitation solved the problem.

We have two boards going now. One initial thought I had is that it would be great to be able to group like files in some way (ex. all the initial sketch JPGs in one folder/filing cabinet/other metaphor) and I would love to be able to attach a note to a file. I don't think either of these is possible now?

Thanks for the cool product!

I'm very glad to hear that Stixy makes you happy. We're still in a very early stage of development, so expect more and improved features in the future. Please give us feedback on what works and what doesn't.

As Techcrunch pointed out, the lack of administrator rights can be problematic. We are looking in to it, but, we try to keep the functionality as "flat" and transparent as possible. Our initial thought was that administrator rights was needed just by a few, and therefor added unnecessary complexity for most users.

Versioning of documents, however, is on our near term road map.

Wow, this looks to be a great product. Now if I could just get a beta invite. Anyone have any to share?

It will be interesting to see how online tools like this compare to desktop versions. If they turn out to be comparable, it could turn the tables on Adobe's current monopoly of the professional design software. The irony being that Adobe is behind the Flash player that makes this all possible.
